Community Guidelines
Karfolio is for people who love cars. These guidelines keep it that way. They sit alongside the terms of service — breaking them can cost you your account.
Last updated: 3 September 2026.
What belongs here
- Your vehicles, your builds, your maintenance, your mistakes and your fixes
- Drives you enjoyed and the roads you took
- Cars you spotted in the wild, photographed with respect for the people around them
- Honest questions, useful answers and genuine enthusiasm
What does not
Harassment. No bullying, threats, hate speech, or targeting people over race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. Criticising a build is fine. Going after the person is not.
Dangerous driving. No street racing, no speed runs on public roads, no content that treats reckless driving as an achievement. Take it to a track and post that instead.
Explicit content. No nudity, no sexual content. Nothing involving minors, ever — that gets reported to the authorities, not just removed.
Other people's privacy. Photograph cars, not people. Do not post someone's home, their number plate paired with their address, or a spot framed to expose or shame an owner. If someone asks you to take down a photo of their car, take it down.
Content that isn't yours. Do not repost someone else's photos as your own. Credit where you got it, or do not post it.
Spam and scams. No bulk posting, no phishing, no crypto, no “DM me for parts” schemes.
Fake anything. No impersonating other people, brands or manufacturers. No fabricated specs or mileage.
Spotting, specifically
Spotting is a big part of Karfolio and it happens in public, around people who did not ask to be photographed:
- Do not block traffic, trespass, or climb on anything to get a shot.
- Do not photograph inside someone's driveway or garage.
- If an owner objects, stop and delete it.
- Publishing a number plate is legal in many places but rarely necessary. Consider blurring it.
Reporting and blocking
If you see something that breaks these rules, use Report in the post's menu. If someone bothers you, Block them — from their profile or from any of their posts. Blocking works both ways: they disappear from your feed, and you disappear from theirs.
We review reports and normally act within 24 hours. We remove content, warn accounts, or terminate them, depending on what we find.
Reporting something in bad faith to silence someone is itself a violation.
If we get it wrong
We will. If your content was removed and you think it shouldn't have been, email info@karfolio.com and tell us what happened. A human will look at it.
